It’s fun. Sometimes frustating, but overall an interesting experience. Thankfully you can keep the Priest and Vampire held down by other cards when the cards are drawn. I wonder what would happen if the special cards were constantly active. 10/10 would play again

This is a very interesting form of Solitaire! Took me a little while to understand how the game works, which is part of the fun.   It carries its twist with a simplification of the playing board, only 2 colors, 5 rows instead of 7, all cards are already on the table, this makes the random 'Priest' and 'Vampire' mechanic manageable. Very excited to see this game grow, bookmarked it.

Nice take on a classic :) Works flawlessly.

Ive always loved solitaire, but never played a solitaire like this before. It's pretty well polished in my opinion.

Thanks a lot for trying our game and for the feedback! We know it's a bit hard, so congratulations on winning!

You're welcome. The difficulty makes it that much more rewarding than regular solitaire.

Fun game! In the end, I could only win by never using either special card. Very polished experience

Thank you for the review. It is highly appreciated! Trying your best to not activate the special cards is a very good strategy, indeed!

Well done!

I'd love to know more about your team! Who did what on your team? The art is fantastic and so is the Audio! Great submission.

I tried to add every person who helped in the credits. I worked on the art and some programming, while danysdani worked fully on programming. The sounds were creative commons assets and we also had some help from the nice people in the community who helped us squash a bug with which we've been struggling.

If you want o see the credits you can find them in the main menu.

Thanks a lot for the kind words!

Absolutely loved the visuals, the music added so much to the atmosphere too. The cards looks so charming and how it was integrated with the wooden table was a nice touch.  An easy mode where you can redo moves would be a nice addition and so would an automatic game over screen. I did encounter a game breaking bug, but I did manage to beat it.
The vampire twist to solitaire is such a good idea, really changes the whole game.
The perfect amount of challenge.
It made me think of playing gwent and I totally love that game.

Thanks a lot for the kind words and for taking the time to check the game out. It was quite a lot of fun watching you try it!
You also brought up a lot of good points and I'll make sure to have them noted for future updates!

play for a bit and kept soft locking myself where there were no valid moves that I could take, this ended in me having to restart over and over again. A back/ undo move button would be great.

and more information on how the special cards select which card they choose to change. or making it more clear that it's random.

It is true that the game is intended to be on the harder side, similarly to how there is no undo button and soft locks in games like Shenzen I/O Solitaire.

However, I can see how you could get in a position that would seem unfair, especially once things get out of control. We have some improvements in mind which we'll put them on a timeline after the game jam is over.

Thanks a lot for the feedback! It is highly appreciated.

That's good to hear. I do feel that normal solitaire is a bit easier than Vampire Solitaire because there are two of each colour there are more options and less soft locks. I do love the main game play loop tho so I hope I'm not coming across as mean or anything. Looking forward to see where you can take this. YarrBongo

Love to hear that. Thanks again!

Took a bit to get used to. Seems like the optimal strategy is to keep the special cards neutralized.

I really appreciate the feedback. Do you think there would be a need for multiple difficulties? We have in mind some variations which could make the game easier or harder.

Difficult to say. The ultimate goal is to put half the deck in the black pile, half in the red pile. Tweak too much one way or its opposite, and you wind up unwinnable (because more than half the deck is red or black). It's at the very least a unique mechanic for a solitaire.
